I am on a mission to rid my cup cabinet of my mishmash mug collection. Stops at craft fairs showcased lovely artisan mugs for $35 each -- beautiful hand crafted items beyond my budget. These Kook mugs look the craft show part without the craft show price. The mug's wide mouth does allow coffee to cool quicker -- a twirl in the microwave remedies that.These are very nice albeit a bit large for a coffee mugs. A typical coffee mug hold about 10 ounces. These are closer to 14 or 15 ounces. But they are nice.Very nice lookingThese are great quality, beautiful mugs, and perfect for soup or coffee. Love them!They are beautiful as well as sturdyThey’re beautiful! They’re even better in person!I purchased the color Java/Slate. The color I received look different than what I thought they would be. They have more of a light blue look... a very muted turquoise blue. I decided to keep them because the color is pleasant and I love the large size and the texture. They have dimpled, dents, slight depressions in these mugs which appeal to me. The handles have no dimples and are easy to hold. No cracks or chips upon arrival. I would have given 5 stars if the color matched better to what I was viewing when I placed my order.I had to throw out the mug after 6 months. A tiny imperfection in the rim, which I mistakenly was willing to ignore when I first received the mugs, turned into a hairline crack that leaked. The look was good, the capacity was good but no bueno. Now I am waiting for the other mug to go the same was as it also has a tiny, tiny imperfection in the rim... Disappointed.
