Lights up the room quite well! I was pleasantly surprised. But it is heavy with 4 D cell batteries and screwing plastic plate perfectly straight to ceiling was not easy. But so far it's lasted over a month and does well enough that I haven't had to use the room lights at all! This is my catch-all room that I go in often, but don't stay long. It is perfect for this situation. I'm going to put another in our shed and see how it does without temperature control. I hope it does well!
